Daniel and Joy could not be more accommodating during a very difficult time. Their flexibility and support of the loved ones was met with warmth and kindness. Both went over and beyond. They were just a phone call away and met at anytime that was needed by the family.

My son’s life was taken from him, so we needed someone that would make us feel comfortable and have peace in our spirits to handle his. Let me tell you, when we got to Madison Funeral Home we knew that they were the one! We talked, and we were laughing, crying…it felt good and right. I say to this Family Business, GOOD JOB Daniel!

Having grown up in this funeral home, I know how kind, caring and compassionate my father, Erwin Schmidt, was. I am very pleased to say that Dan Symonds has these same qualities. When my mother, Florence Schmidt Anderson, recently passed away, Dan’s help exceeded our expectations.

In the past two months I have attended two services at Madison Funeral Home. While losing a loved one is never easy, to know that you your loved one is treated with dignity and compassion for their final journey is comforting beyond words. Dan and his staff are to be commended for their compassion and empathy that was shown to the “family” of Spencer Tresselt and the willingness to accommodate the requests from the family in order to make the service one that Spencer would have been proud of. We are so fortunate to have both this Funeral Home and director in our town.
