William Ernest Zumbek, 30, of Elgin, passed away September 27, 2018 in West Chicago, IL. He was born February 10, 1988 in Chicago to his loving parents, William Joseph and Sharon Marie Zumbek (nee Bentley).
William graduated from Elgin High School, Class of 2006, and went on to attend Elgin Community College. He worked as an Assistant Lab Manager for Central Inc. for 11 years, and maintained a reputation as an ambitious, hard worker.
Loved ones will remember William as God-fearing, loving and generous with a big heart. He had a great sense of humor and goofy side to balance his smart mouth and good-natured know-it-all attitude. He was also protective of those he loved, a wonderful listener and unapologetically honest.
In his free time, William enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Blackhawks, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, playing the drums, and being a grill master. He was a self-described gym junkie and tattoo lover.
William is survived by his dear parents, William and Sharon; sister Kristin; Grandmothers Virginia and Delores; many aunts, uncles and cousins; beloved girlfriend Sarah Burke; and beloved God-Daughter Hendrix Boaz.
