Ray Hebel, age 78, of Elgin passed away Friday April 11, 2014 at St. Joes Hospital in Elgin. Ray was born September 19, 1935 in Chicago to the union of Reinhold and Helen Hebel.
Ray was a loyal husband and loving father to his children. He served with Company B 133rd signal BN in The Illinois Army National Guard as a Teletype Operator until his discharge in 1961. Ray was member of the American Legion Post 57 Elgin IL. He worked as an insurance adjuster for many years. he enjoyed spending his free time playing cards with friends and family.
After Retiring from the Insurance Business he worked part time for the Madison Funeral Home as a Funeral home attendant helping family in their time of need. Ray will be deeply missed by everyone here.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen, Daughter Deborah (Patrick) Potter, Sons Douglas (Angela) Hebel, William (Christine Olson)Blair, Gary (Tracy) Blair, many Grand Children and Great Grand Children.
Visitation will be Monday April 21, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Madison Funeral Home 305 Park Street Elgin, IL 60120. Rendering of Honors at 7:00 PM Monday April, 21 2014. Interment will be private.
