Lawrence Arthur Judkins, age 54, of Elgin, passed away September 26, 2017 at home in Elgin. He was born November 13, 1962 in Elgin to his loving parents, Vern and Judy Judkins (nee Schellenberger).
Lawrence was a strong patriot who served his country from 1981 to 1987 with the United States Army. He graduated from Wyoming Technical Institute. He worked as a Copper Splicer, Lineman, Safety SPOC and then as a Uverse Technician for AT&T for 15 years and as a Line Clearance Technician for Asplundh for 19 years.
Lawrence shared 26 years of marriage with the love of his life, Sheila. They grew up together and were friends all their life. Larry was totally devoted to Sheila and his family.
Loved ones will remember Lawrence’s unforgettable sense of humor, kind heart and ability to see the goodness in everyone he met. He had a passion for life and danced like no one was watching. Every moment with him was unique and special. In his free time, Lawrence enjoyed bowling, camping, biking and taking Fireball shots.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Judkins; children Natalie (Mitchell) Sanders and Brandon (Laura Pelaez Barrias) Judkins; siblings Brenda (Steve) Haskell and Kenny Judkins; nephew Michael (Mary) Haskell; niece Katie Haskell; and many other beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00PM – 9:00PM with service at 7:00PM Sunday October 1, 2017, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin IL 60120 Visitation will continue 10:00AM until time of prayers at 11:00AM Monday, October 2, 2017. Interment to follow at Burlington Township Cemetery.
