Judith May Gable (nee Rabe), age 76, of Elcho, WI, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Langlade Hospital in Antigo, WI under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice.
Mrs. Gable was born on July 26, 1938, daughter of the late Herman And Ruth (Strange) Rabe. She was united in marriage to James F. Gable on January 19, 1957 at St. Mary of Celle, Berwyn, IL. She has resided in Cicero, Berwyn and Elgin, IL.
Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Susan (Walter) Wegloski of Park City, IL, Carla Gable of Chicago, IL, Ruth (Ryan) Ready of Harwood Heights, IL; two sons, James F. Gable II of Westmont, IL, and Christopher (Diane) Gable of Rhinelander, WI; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gable was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for Gabriel Sales Company Auto Parts, and for a conglomerate of companies including Nelson-Hall Publishing and International Grapho-Analysis Society. In later years, she worked as a bookkeeper at the pallet factory on the Mole Lake Reservation in WI.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Madison Funeral Home, Elgin, IL, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service and burial at Bluff City Cemetery in Elgin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Judy’s name may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
