Jeanette O. Sampley, age 83, of Belvidere, Illinois, passed away on June 2, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 9, 1931 in Dekalb, Illinois to the loving union of Ralph and Iva Brown.
Jeanette married her dear husband John on September 13, 1945. Together they had four children. Her faith in Christ was one of the most treasured things in her life. Jeanette had an exceptional sense of humor and was the life of any party. She would often organize and decorate parties, weddings, and showers. She was known for her exceptional cooking, and even though it may have not been the healthiest, her family always came back for more. She spent much of her life caring for her children, husband and parents. She was very active in several churches as a youth leader and Sunday school teacher. She supported Assembly of God in the Elgin area. She also worked at Franks nursery and crafts for many years.
Jeanette was the loving mother of Jo Ann (Gary) Bottcher, Jonine (Mark) Behm, John Sampley Jr., and adored grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John, Daughter, Jacqueline Sampley, and great grandson Evan.
Visitation will take place Thursday June 5, 2014 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St, Elgin IL 60120. Services will follow the next day at 10:00am with Pastor Quinn officiating Internment at Little Wood Cemetery Durham Road St. Charles, IL 60174 St. Charles IL.
